Hope for Youth Uganda is proud to have partnered with International Help to strengthen the capacity of our Community Health Workers through an empowering and highly impactful
training program. Over the past sessions, our Community Health Workers were equipped with practical knowledge and skills on some of the most pressing health issues affecting our community.
The training covered:
– Maternal health; ensuring safer pregnancies, improved antenatal care, and better support for mothers and new-borns.
– Non-communicable diseases; with a special focus on diabetes and hypertension, helping our teams understand how to identify, prevent, and support community
members living with these conditions.
– Lifestyle-related illnesses ; exploring causes, prevention, and early detection to
promote healthier living across all age groups.
The training concluded with a joyful celebration where participants were honoured with certificates of completion, followed by a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony to mark their
achievement and commitment to serving the community.
This collaboration has not only boosted the knowledge of our Community Health Workers but
has also strengthened our mission to enhance community health and well-being.
A big thank you to INTERNATIONAL HELP for walking this journey with us and empowering our
teams to make a lasting impact!
What's New
We are determined to create a sustainable source of revenue flow to allow the school to become financially independent and self-reliant. However, we need a helping hand to get there. To guarantee a source of secure income to cover operational expenses,
The Bakery
While H4YU is a not-for-profit charity, the bakery will be for-profit and all profits will be used to meet on-going expenses. This creative business model will provide a sustainable income for the organisation to meet its operation costs as well as offer skills to the youth in our community. The greater goal is to find solutions to social problems and create positive, lasting change in the community.
