Who we are
Hope for Youth - Uganda (H4YU) is a registered local NGO operating in rural communities of Nama and Kyampisi, sub-counties of Mukono district.
What we do
We are offering education, life skills, nutrition, sports, and arts programs.

This impactful initiative enhances youth learning in our community, aligning with UN SDG 4, We offer diverse education, life skills, nutrition, sports and arts programs.
Youth Programs
The All-Stars Talent program fosters educational and emotional support, utilizing sports, music, dance and drama performances to empower youth and build confidence. The Development School for Youth offers leadership training, partnering with professionals and corporations who offer internship placements.
Grandmothers and Nutrition
The school’s community outreach, led by H4YU graduates, engages elders with monthly presentations on nutrition, gardening, vitamins, reading clubs, and healthcare support.
“You Matter” Girls Only Program
The “You Matter” Girls Only program is designed to reach out to community girls and young mothers from a variety of backgrounds, focused on changing their lives for the better.
Water and Sanitation Services
Water is one of the basic necessities of life. Safe water is especially critical for children, who are the most vulnerable to water-related diseases. H4YU strives to provide potable water and adequate sanitation to decrease illnesses, improve health, and lessen the burden on women and children by reducing the distance to water collection points. This is done through drilling new water wells (pump wells), repairing traditional community existing wells, developing spring and rainwater catchments, and providing water storage.
A pump well, located on school premises, provides clean drinking water to the school and the community.
Self-Sustenance Projects
H4YU aspires to be a self-sufficient organization, currently managing poultry, piggery, goat rearing, and crop cultivation. Growth is sustained through community partnerships, mentoring youth, fostering cross-cultural friendships, and promoting togetherness.
