Hope for Youth Uganda

Institutional Sustainability

Self-Sustenance and Social Enterprise

Hope for Youth Uganda has the desire and determination to become an independent, ongoing, viable and self-reliant organization. We have established several interconnected projects designed to generate operational funds and reduce reliance of donor aid.

At Hope for Youth, we are building a self-sufficient future. Through poultry, piggery, goat rearing, and crop cultivation, we generate resources to support our programs, feed students and staff, and reduce operational costs. Our growing initiatives, include a bakery, still under construction that aims to provide employment opportunities for graduating students, equipping them with practical skills for independent living and also generate income for the organization through the sale of the baked goods to surrounding community. By combining enterprise with purpose, H4YU is creating a sustainable model that strengthens the organization while empowering the communities we serve and reducing our reliance on donor funding

Agro-Farming and Livestock: We run an active poultry of local
chickens, goat rearing and crop cultivation projects.

Vocational Bakery: We are in the process of setting up a bakery that will act as a social enterprise, serving as a practical training ground for graduating students and generate an income through the sale of baked goods to the surrounding Nama and Kyampisi communities and beyond to promote long-term sustainability.

Every shilling earned from the social enterprise activities is reinvested directly into our broader programs, which include providing free primary education, safe drinking water and healthcare initiatives.
